Day of Climate

Day of Climate offers free, hands-on curriculum of lessons and activities designed to introduce K-12 students to research on climate and how it shapes their lives. These resources are being developed by MIT community (including faculty, researchers, students, and staff), and designed for formal and informal learning environments.

Itz’at STEAM Academy

Itz’at STEAM Academy (ISA), formerly known as The STEAM Lab School, is an initiative of the Belizean Ministry of Education, Culture, Science, and Technology (MoECST) to provide a new, transformative secondary school education for students in Belize. Developed in partnership with MIT and the Inter-American Development Bank, ISA opened its doors to a cohort of 62 students in September 2023 and will grow over time to its full capacity of 300 students by 2026. The school is located in Belize City, centrally located on a campus shared with the ITVET. Read the one-pager here.

Full STEAM Ahead

MIT Full STEAM Ahead is a collection of resources that MIT is putting together for teaching and learning online. These are meant as a rapid response to the need for online resources during the COVID-19 pandemic. We will curate existing resources for K-12, higher education, and workforce learners, as well as provide a weekly package of relevant materials for K-12 students and teachers.

The Public Library Innovation Exchange (PLIX) at MIT Open Learning develops creative STEAM learning experiences based on MIT research and designed for the public library setting.
